Christmas 2011 |
Family Everyone is doing great. Warren had Lasik surgery on his eyes this fall and does not need even contacts anymore, he is so glad he had it done. We did not get north to see our son Brian’s family or any other family members this year. I really do not have news of what people are up to. Granddaughter Emily graduated from high school this year (am I that old?), both she and our daughter Wendy are attending classes at one of the local colleges. Grandson Aaron is back on track in the Alpha program at his school. |
Reflections It is a sunny 80 degrees outside, the doors and windows are open, Poinsettias are blooming. The tree is up, house is decorated, stuff for Christmas dinner is in an over stocked refrigerator. Generally we are healthy, wealthy enough and happier than we have ever been. Time is very short, so is this letter. LIFE IS GOOD! Love, Carol and Warren If you did not get a paper copy of this letter, it is because you have been added to my email card list and I want you to have the very best! |
Artworld It has been my most busy, demanding, successful, financially rewarding year so far! I am in an E-book, I will be published in another two books that will be coming out next year, and am in the November issue of Artist Magazine. I taught my first out of state workshop in Missouri in May. I am scheduled to teach quite a few workshops all around the state of Florida in 2011. I will continue entering competitions around the country, and of course still teach two days a week locally. The details are on my website which should be updated by the first of January. Has to be done by then because next years schedule is already filling up and should prove challenging; I will need to hit the decks a-running! |

Irony: One of the really nice things about being so active in the art world is that I get to stay at some really great four and five star hotels/resorts, often right on a beach. Conventions, Symposiums and workshop accommodations are first rate! The bad part is I am so busy while I am there that I never even have time to get sand in my shoes. On the good days I get to spend a quiet few minutes on a balcony, resting up and drinking in the atmosphere. I stayed in my first bed and breakfast as a workshop accommodation; I was a little leery at first but what a wonderful experience. Too bad all my time and energy was spent teaching the workshop and meeting other social obligations. There are now so many many places I would love to return to and just spend a few quite days relaxing |
