Carol:

I still teach and compete. My word of art is really roller-coaster. It has
been an amazing year. I had painting accepted into the top three
watercolor organizations. The National Watercolor Association
(NWS), American Watercolor Association (AWS) where I achieved
signature status this year, and the Transparent Watercolor Society of
America. I won several national awards, and had work in the August
issue of “Watercolor Magazine”. My abstract painting continue to
bring me great joy and often great success! The other side of all this is
that I also received rejection notices from four national exhibitions
that I have never been rejected from. As we say thought it is a crap
shoot. I do not think that artists actually retire, I think they just give
up and fade away…but not me…not yet.

This is an electronic world, ever replacing its self, and this year we did
it up right. My second Samsung Galaxy Note (tablet), Warrens first,
but he got the TAB. We both got new phones, Samsung Galaxy, he got
the S5, I got the Note 5. We both got new gaming computers, and he
got a new latest greatest flat screen TV just in time for football. Life is
really good! I LOVE this high-tech world! I can write this letter in
longhand on my tablet, while watching TV, open the file on the
computer and type it up. I can check those files from my phone...and
add more...in the grocery store!…amazing!!!

I still have tons of things to get done and will add photos later. The
tree is up, most of the decorating is done but I need to go finish up my
shopping, my McRIb sandwich is waiting and I want to head out now.
We are expecting and cold snap and for temperatures to drop quickly.
It is already down to the low 70s…burrrrr.

I only mail a few card now a days, most
of you will receive an emailed  link to
the more extensive and inclusive online
version of this letter. Pass it on to
anyone you wish. Only  today I realized
that I am missing pictures of several
people.
I will update this letter later with
Christmas day photos. They should be
up by New Years Eve, Check back if you
are interested.

Love and happiness to EVERYONE!!!!

Warren:

October brought another short cruise to celebrate both Carol’s birthday
in September and mine in November.  Following the cruise, we followed
through with what has become a family tradition and I had my left hip
replaced. Arthritis is a tough thing to put up with.  The right hip has
some issues but we are hoping we can get several more years of service
from it before it needs attention.  Our passports are due for renewal next
year and with all the new parts in me, I will need a title instead of a birth
certificate to renew.  This makes any screening a fun experience as you
can guess. I tell them I have the cards and they say those are worthless as
anyone with a printer can make them. So it is in the line with the little
wand or into the booth to get radiated for me.  Good news is I don’t need
a night light anymore – I just glow in the dark.
November brought the annual Frisinger Florida Family Reunion at our
place over Thanksgiving. It was great to see the three family members
together Carol, Tom and Diane and reminisce of days and times gone by.
Seems odd to thing that so much time has passed in our lives – Carol and
I started dating over fifty years ago – where has the time gone?
Hope everyone is having a great Christmas and we wish you all a safe
and happy New Year. Not any travel plans yet except to Kansas in May
for Josh’s graduation so not sure if we will see any of you this summer.
